In less than one week, on December 1, 2007, Circle Dark Publishing will release our very first book, an anthology.

The anthology is called TWILIGHT AND THORNS, and will feature eight stories by very talented authors, some of them CDP staff members. We have all put a great deal of time and effort into making TWILIGHT AND THORNS something special, and we hope our readers will be able to see that.

As an introduction to our world, we have a flash fiction titled “Bargaining with Spiders,” by two time Darrell award-winning author Elizabeth Donald.

After that, you’ll be able to easily choose your poison by level of the Nine Circles. If you’re in the mood for something a bit lighter, then the four stories in the Twilight section are for you. These are “Step on it,” by Kyt Dotson; “The Muse,” by Sara M. Harvey, author of the novel A Year and a Day; “Shadow and Soul,” by CDP’s own H.E. McVay; and “The Savage Beast,” by CDP’s Sabrina Hunt.

If you feel like something a bit sharper, though, then take a peek in the Thorns section for those stories a little higher on the Circle rating system. You can choose from “A Mother’s Love,” by Fran LaPlaca; “S is for Succubus,” by co-author of Kestrel on the Horizon Angelia Sparrow; and “Trinity,” by CDP’s Theresa Biggs.

At the end, you’ll get a sneak peek at Circle Dark’s next offering, the novel Nikolai by Angelia Sparrow, coming out in January, 2008.
